A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival. pale gold colour. Lip smacking citric hops with some good earthy malt and a bitter finish. It’s a Crouch Vale golden ale, does exactly what it says on the tin. Not their best but still jolly good stuff.

Cask at Peterborough BF ’06. Gold with a white head. Aroma of hops followed by a grapey, citrus taste that made this one of the festival highlights for me. Late surge of bitterness completes an excellent package.
