Light brown and hugely aromatic due to liberal use of West Coast America's finest Brewers Gold hops.

Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, RealAle05)
Rich gold, tiny head. Sweet malty and citrusy aroma. Big citrussy bite in the taste. Grapefruit, but also some ginger too. A little bit bitter for Anna, but really pressed my buttons. Should rerate.

Cask conditioned at Cockney Pub, Århus
Hazy deep blond color; big creamy head (nitrogen?). It has at first a nice aroma of earthy hops. A smooth mouthfeel, with some malt and caramel flavor, and a good bitterness. Good, but not magic as the old Crouch Vale production.

Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, refreshing. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (020508)

Pale gold, skiff of off-white powdery head. Pleasant seaweed aroma, surprisingly dry and salty. Cinnamon, green grass, iodine flavor. Very dry, a little thin. Melon finish. Nothing here that makes me thing of US West Coast hopping: perhaps the least aptly named of Crouch Vale’s beers.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Reading Beer Festival.
Golden brown with a thin white head and superb condition. It takes an age to settle after a swill. Peach and grassy hops and rather dry. The hops are lovely and refreshing with a really perfumey character. Delicate but excellent sweet fruity notes. Dry finish with some faint hints of straw. Good stuff.
