imdownthepub (3995), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Jul 4, 2007 Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Chestnut colour with white head. Cor, this ones a surprise, almost against calling it a bitter. Dark roasted malts, sweetish with chocolate malts, then a coffee note and then a zesty, american hop flavour zinging across the top. Very interesting and flavoursome, to me another C.V winner. StueyD (590), King’s Lynn, Norfolk, Norfolk, England Jun 17, 2007 A dark orange brown coloured beer with a weak off-white head. A hoppy nose, fruity, but a bit sour, plus a hint of yeastiness. A dry zesty taste, hoppy, orange fruit flavour with a malty background flavour, that is taken over by a bready yeast flavour in the finish.
