duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jan 31, 2008 Cask@Pigs Ear BF. Quite pale indeed. Lovely floral aroma, fruity hops. palate is light and hoppy. Very subtle, and very well done. Seems quite crisp in the finish. Not really a winter beer (something more likely to drink in the warmer summer months), but a nice beer all the same.
Magic_dave6 (3536), London, England Jan 31, 2008 Cask in the three judges brough to the hoose in growler. Aroma is typically crouch vale, citrus, pale malts, lightly grassy and very hop. Taste is similar and juicey slight hop resin character which makes slightly richer than expected. I wonder if this is infact a rebadge of xmas pale, howver from speaking with ronnie it says crouch pale on the cask. harrisoni (4930), Ashford, Kent, England Jan 28, 2008 Cask gravity at Pigs Ear BF 07. Pale gold, thin white head. Certainly hoppy, but its a little sweaty sox. Grassy. Good carbonation. Nice drinkable grassy hoppy beer. Decent bite. Fine. Mes_and_Sim (3967), London, Greater London, England Dec 26, 2007 A Sim rate (cask at Pig’s Ear BF): Hoppy, grassy, fresh aroma. Nice and not too overwhelming. So, so dull-looking. Fresh, hoppy and refreshing flavour, but not much else. hughie (2059), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Dec 25, 2007 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a small white head. Citric aroma: I vote for pineapple. Lovely bready malt taste develops into a fruity sweetness. Some late bitterness. Leaves you with an aftertaste of fizzy lemonade. Excellent.
