Cask: Pretty much a permanently available beer now. Very pale with delicious Amarillo hops, therefore earthily aromatic and highly drinkable. Yakima Valley is the area of Washington State in which the hops are grown. pron: YAK’-i-maw

Piana: Bardzo drobnopęcherzykowa, sztywna, beżowa. Warstwa około 5 mm - nalane niemal po brzeg szklanki. Kolor: Klarowne bursztynowe. Zapach: Intensywnie kwiatowy, owocowe estry, nieco przypieczonego biszkoptu. Smak: Bardzo rześkie, owocowo-kwiatowe. Dość wytrawne. Tekstura: Wybitnie gładkie, kremowe. Lekko cierpkie. Nasycenie: W zasadzie zerowe. Goryczka: Średnio-wysoka.

Pours out of the bottle in a quite clear (with little pieces in) golden colour with low airy head and medium body. Wonderful aroma of hops and citrus. Taste of fresh hops, citrus, grass, spruce, flowers, nuts and honey. Wonderful to drink and I specially like that fresh touch at it. Highly quaffable and enjoyable.

Pours very light golden colour with minimal head. Light wheat taste. Nothing I’ve not had before but still good beer to end the ale trail

Bottle from Ales By Mail. Pale golden yellow colour, good head. Citrus & tropical fruit aroma. Flavour biscuit, cereal & citrus fruit. Quite dry. Good but I expected more.

Cask handpump at FFTMC, Oxford on the KBO Christmas night out Monday 9th December 2013 Can’t believe that I hadn’t rated this? Anyway had two pints of this tonight, absolutely lovely. Straw coloured, excellent clarity, sparkling, it looks marvellous good temperature, small white head atop. It’s simple, it’s fruity, crisp and finishes dry, the amarillo is not quite the fashionable hop it once was with new kid’s on the block but it’s still a corker when used in this fashion. Bottle shared with McTapps. That order from the UK semms to have some good piwos in. Wonderful fresh hops combined with a fine grassy aroma and grass with some hay. Quaffy, refreshing, honest one. Wonderful.

Cask, Railway Tavern, Chelmsford, 5th January 2015. Nice golden appearance with a good solid head. Soft piney notes and tropical fruits on the aroma as well as some hey and straw as well. Proper session stuff this. Smooth on my palate and dry and fruity on the finish. Can drink a lot of this but I don’t expect anything else from the mighty Crouch Vale.
