3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Visual: Pours clear golden amber with a small dissipating head, a thin layer of very micro retention, spread out large CO2 slow steady streams.
Nose: aromatic tangerine-apricot-peach hops, almost perfume-like. (lvl-5)-pungency
Attack: resin, pine
Mid-palate: fizzy-tingly, (lvl-2)-sweetness, (MAIN) grassy, apricot, more pine, caramel malts
Finish: burpy, soft-bitter + salty hopped finish.
Summary: Orchard fruit and pine with a SALTY bitter hopped finish; quite interesting to say the least. With so many IPAs out there, this one isnít to my taste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was a little more hoppy than the previous day, but still great nevertheless. Good hoppy aroma, with some hints of fruit. Has your typical sharp, initial bitter hop taste, but evolves into some floral and citrus flavours.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper with light-ish head. Aromas of toffee, pine, and candied fruit. Flavors of pine, bitter orange, and toasted malts. Somewhat thin, bitter finish. Pretty much a standard IPA these days. Didnít get much of the unique hops.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, craft beer advent calendar day 7. Pours a deep golden, hazy, with a robust head that fades without lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit hops, not as sweet as yesterdays offering, and a touch earthy by comparison. Hops rule the palate, sharing earthy and tropical fruit traits, less malty than yesterdays offering, but Iím not as crazy about the hop profile. Still a nice beer to have at advent!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to IPA glass
Aroma of tangerine and lemon initially, then coriander, a touch of papaya; finally a little caramel, spruce and pepper. Light to middling amber with a long lasting 1.5 cm somewhat frothy head due to the initial pour and vibrant effervescence. Clean glass, Iím pretty sure it is. Taste is a light hoppiness (for an IPA), with grapefruit and a touch of spruce. A bit unexciting based upon the aroma. Itís also pretty thin, so it washes away pretty quickly, although the bitterness does last.

CBAC Day 7: I was super excited for this New Zealand IPA since 8-Wired makes my all time favourite IPA. However, I was let down by the overpowering malts and lack of citrus flavours.
