Tasting Notes: Appearance - A rich rose-gold hue, with good head. Aroma - Massive up front fruit with strong freshly crushed grain. Passionfruit and lychees predominate with a stonefruit undertone - fruit salad on weetbix. Grassiness from three Nelson hop varieties compliment the fruit to give an aroma reminiscent of a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but the grunt in the palate leaves you in no doubt that this is a very serious beer. Body & Mouthfeel - Very smooth with a gorgeous lingering finish. Delicious burps.

Nice aroma, sweetness and slight lychee. Pour is magnificent, deep amber with thin tan head. Delicious flavor, great cereal from the malts with a nice passion fruit driven hop finish.

500ml brown bottle. Deep golden to orange in colour, a bit of haze. Full white head, creamy and sticky with lots of lace rings. Fruity hops in the nose - slight orange and grapey Nelson Sauvs, light caramel. In the mouth the beer has caramel malts, orange peel and other fruitiness, mild grassy end, slight mineral notes. Bitterness is mild, light in body, perhaps a bit thin. Medium carbonation. A nice pale ale. The NZ hops work well here, drinks easily.

Light, quite clear appearance with good lacing. Delicious tropical aromas with a malt caramel backing. Big, upfront malt caramel flavours that work towards a long, gentle bitterness. Brilliant balance.

Golden pour with a thin white head. Passionfruit, peach and light citrus aroma. Similar taste, slightly malty too. Low bitterness, very easy going down.

Clear copper, minimal head (as in almost none). Aroma is fruity hops - citrus, tropicals, flowers. Add grain, cereal once you drink some. Nice progression from grains to citrus, to a dry, mildly bitter finish. Hop aroma is less than some but it is still a refreshing, balanced drink.

Pours orange with a head that disappears quickly. Fruity earthy aroma, initial taste is sweet fruit, changes to citrus peel, aftertaste is back to being fruity. Enjoyed ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a darkish hazy orange with bubbly head. Aromas heavy of tropical fruits. Taste is fresh juicy hops and passionfruit, mango etc with slight biscuit at the end. Pretty solid pale ale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At first, a solid and sessionable performer. Fantastic aroma, first sip tastes like you are sucking the flesh from peach stones, then as you swalow, a delicious green grassy bitterness rushes forward from the back of your throat and all dopamine receptors are engaged. But then marks off because the fantastic aroma was gone before I’d finished half a glass, and the flavour, instead of opening up over time, started compressing in on itself and losing a lot of its initial top-end sparkle. Still tasted better than most beers can only dream of, though. If it had held its initial aroma and taste, this would have been one of my favourites for sure. I’ll get another one soon.
