3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
"Serious beer" not so much, "interactive beer" a bit. "Likeable beer", for sure. This, I think, is my first Croucher Beer, and I’m a bit impressed.
I get the passionfruit, I also get a toffee thing, and I for sure get grassiness.
However it isn’t a beer that that I think I could al my faith in, but as a time an place thing and with food as a side this would be a great afternoon in.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle. Clear red copper, off-white foam settles and mostly vanishes. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel malt and tropical fruity hop. Taste is lightly toasted caramel malt, lightly bitter herbal floral hop, faintly fruity. Softer than average carbonation, light-medium bodied, moderately hopped. Gets fruitier as it warms, tropical even, some citrus, slightly vinous. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2014 On tap @ Brew Craft Beer Pub, Rotorua. Also bottled. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has grapefruit/citrus, hints of grass. Clear, copper coloured with a medium head. The taste is slightly toasty malty, has grapefruits, some grass, some flowers. Okay.

A mainline brew from a craft brewer that definitely delivers on its promise. Even better delivered direct from the brewery!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. More reminiscent of an English style pale ale rather than an APA with a sweet caramel malt base and a moderate floral hop bitterness. There are traces of stone and tropical fruits but nothing like like the more hoppy APAs. Copper-amber appearance with medium off-white head. I get none of the advertised grassy vinous elements.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The head is ok, the body orange. It smells sweet, fruity intensive, hoppy, hoparomatic. The taste is hoparomatic, a bit bitter, sweet-hoppy. The first taste was not so good but after a wail it is very nice! 12/12/12/11/-/12

Nice aroma, sweetness and slight lychee. Pour is magnificent, deep amber with thin tan head. Delicious flavor, great cereal from the malts with a nice passion fruit driven hop finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml brown bottle. Deep golden to orange in colour, a bit of haze. Full white head, creamy and sticky with lots of lace rings. Fruity hops in the nose - slight orange and grapey Nelson Sauvs, light caramel. In the mouth the beer has caramel malts, orange peel and other fruitiness, mild grassy end, slight mineral notes. Bitterness is mild, light in body, perhaps a bit thin. Medium carbonation. A nice pale ale. The NZ hops work well here, drinks easily.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light, quite clear appearance with good lacing. Delicious tropical aromas with a malt caramel backing. Big, upfront malt caramel flavours that work towards a long, gentle bitterness. Brilliant balance.
