(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, amber golden with a rough, off-white head. Lovely hop aroma of citrus and peach. Medium-bodied, a little low in carbonation. Plenty of fruit in here - citrus and peach in particular from the lovely Nelson hops. Also lightly sweet caramel. Quite a bitter finish. Nice! 050208

Bottle. Hazy orange, with a towering orange-tinted head leaving generous lace. Massive aromatic hop aroma, lots of mango, passionfruit, perfumey lychee, certainly on par with the best of the American versions I’ve had of this style. Sweet toffee malt with the same aromatic hop profile, but with interesting berry notes as well. A little overcarbonated. Very astringent, bitter finish. Delicious.

Bottle from Dux de Lux in Queenstown. Pours a clear gold-amber color with a medium eggshell head. Aroma and flavor dominated by hops along with mixed fruits and grain, with a touch of soapiness. Bitter, fruity, with moderate carbonation. An interesting take on an APA.

Taste is passionfruit and grainy malt sweetness with some citrus and grassy hop bitterness. Light to medium body with some decent carbonation. A very well done pale ale that is very tasty and worthy of a great tasting experience.

330ml bottle. Well carbonated as it started bursting forth from the bottle when I opened it. Needs to be poured slowly as it quickly builds up a big head of beige coloured foam. Dark hazy gold colour when the foam finally settles down. Strong pleasant caramal malt aroma from the type of malts used in the brewing process. Very inviting and the aroma makes you want dive right in and take a big swig. Intense sweet malty flavour that is moreish and although the alc/vol is only 5% it seems to carry a bit of a kick. Finishes nicely with some fruitiness on the palate. A well rounded pale ale and worth seeking out. My first beer from this brewery and I look forward to sampling the rest of the range.
