COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop aroma and flavor dominate this IPA. However, the malt character of this deep amber colored ale nicely balances the hop component thus avoiding a harsh bitterness. A truly quaffable beverage!

Sampled at the brewery’s taproom in Spearfish, South Dakota. Pours a clear cola caramel color brew with a thick off-white head that slowly dissolves to a fine film and good lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some dried roasted nuts with flowery hops and toffee. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonated with a roasted malt and mild bitterness. Finish is slightly thin, mildly bitter with a dry toasted malt aftertaste.

Some nice notes, all in the typical brown ale range--nuts, caramel, some light toast. Quick finish, low carbonation (from a growler). Not bad; very typical of the style.

RBSG07. From growler. Pours dark amber/brown. Aroma is roasted malt and dried fruit. Flavour is malty, mainly, has some dried fruit. Finish is dry. Thanks to skyview for the great selection of growlers brought to the tasting!
