Hop aroma and flavor dominate this IPA. However, the malt character of this deep amber colored ale nicely balances the hop component thus avoiding a harsh bitterness. A truly quaffable beverage!

Draught at the Crow Peak Brewing Co, Spearfish, SD. Clear deep golden color with a small white head. Really English style IPA aroma with fruit tea and floral hops, sweetness and malt. The flavor is sweet, bitter, floral hoppy and malty. A bit unbalanced and way too English. Low carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at brewery. Nose is floral and bitter pine. Tastes quite astringent, you get some pine, floral, dish soap, grass. Bitter finish. Overall pleasant though

Can muled back by Nick on the wild west shag wag tour pour avg gold with moderate white head. Nose pine, slight vegetal, hint of fruit. Taste light bitter up front, pine, some sweet malt. Light sweet fruit. A little better as it warms. Light bitter finish. Another state down.

Not the best IPA, but the best I’ve had from South Dakota (my first). A bit on the astringent side and unfortunately unbalanced, favoring the piney hops. Tried with Jess at Yia Yias after the Omaha-Lincoln ride in 2016.

On tap. Pours a clear orange with a thin tan head. Aroma of light fruits, floral hops. Flavor of pale malts, floral hops, apple skins, bitter hops. Not super hoppy, features more floral and fruity hops. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Can. Pours a clear, yellow-orange color with a soapy white head. Aroma is piney, some citrus, cereal, pennies. Taste is pretty light, some citrus, bitter. This is fairly bland, taste fades almost immediately. Maybe its old?

12oz can to tulip. Pours mostly clear amber with heavy sediment, white dissipating ring head. Aroma of citrus, earth, and some pine wood. Taste of same with some candi sweetness and orange/grapefruit bitter finish. Kind of flat for style.

Aroma of citrus and pine. Good hop profile that gives way to a buttery maltiness. Not bad really.

Can. Pours a ear copper body with a one finger frothy white head that left some sticky lacing. The nose is equal parts citrusy hops and caramel maltiness. The flavor is pretty nicely hoppy and bitter up front, lots of grapefruit-like citrus notes. The finish fades slightly in the more malt driven side of things. Lingering sweet caramel maltiness after the hops fade away. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty decent stuff, I could do with a little less caramel sweetness, but it’s pretty drinkable.
