COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop aroma and flavor dominate this IPA. However, the malt character of this deep amber colored ale nicely balances the hop component thus avoiding a harsh bitterness. A truly quaffable beverage!

Well balanced, malt-forward, and quite enjoyable. Slight sweetness in the malt bill. Hops just enough to remind you it’s an IPA.

Can. The look is bight in the light, golden in the color, and white lacing in the head. The smell is bubblegum, florals, light fruity hops, caramel, and lavender. The taste is biting bitterness, hops, caramel, and ok.

On tap at Crow Peak Brewing. Appearance: 1 finger white head that does not last, golden color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: pine, grapefruit, caramel. Palate: thin-medium, sticky texture, average carbonation, bitter finish; starts almost watery, but caramel fullness comes in and bolsters body. Taste: light fruit sweet into a more solid caramel sweetness, the into a piney bitterness that lasts. Overall, very nice beer, balance is good, and palate is unique and interesting. Not the best, but unique.

From notes at Great Nebraska Beer Festival. Aroma has a moderate amount of malt character with quite a bit of caramel and some cracker notes. Medium light pine resin and grapefruit hop notes with some grass present as well. Pours a clear, dark golden orange with a thick white head that shows quite a bit of retention. Flavor is similar to the aroma with quite a bit of malt character. Lots of cracker and biscuit with moderate caramel notes. Medium grapefruit and pine resin with some grass notes. Moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I found this IPA to be too malty with a rather boring and somewhat grassy hop flavor. Oh well, I ticked South Dakota.

Pretty standard IPA. In the Black Hills this goes for $12 a 6 pack of cans. Was hoping for more. Much better IPA's out there at a better price. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
