3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from Mike, thank! Pour is a clear copper, light white head that fades very quickly, but leaves nice lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, light pine and citrus hops. Tastes pretty much like it smells, a bit spicier than the aroma lets on. Not bad, but nothing really catching.

12oz bottle pours a clear amber wheat. Average attempt at an IPA. Light hop aroma with a crisp finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark gold with minimal head. Aroma is mostly citrus with a hint of pine. Taste is medium bitter. Grapefruit and pine. Light bodied with a surprisingly watery texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing really special here but drinkable and very enjoyable.

Thanks to a77cj7 for this extra. Cheers Chris!
A: Pours an orange amber with excellent clarity. 1-2 finger peanut head dissipates to a moderate sheet of the same. Thick, sheeted lace (not plural, all one wave - nice)
S: Hmmm. Can says IPA, nose says amber/marzen. Vienna malts barely even notched with a hare of citrus hop aroma.
T: Yep, this is an octoberfest, it’s gotta be. Maybe it was canned incorrectly. There are some tones of bitterness, but nothing memorable.
M: Medium body, medium carb. Average feel.
O: Yup, now I can say I had it, can’t say I want it though. Maybe if I new the can date... Sad state of affair.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Plenty of hop aroma but the caramel malt knocks this off balance. Flavor is sweet and finish is too. Better balance would make this a better beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at GABF - specifically sought this one out to knock out SD from my States list. Golden pour. Orangey hops flavor with some resinous qualities. sweet malt backing. Nothing special, but solid.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at GABF. I was wondering what was going on in South Dakota and this beer was a pleasant surprise. I got a few samples of this early to be sure, and yeah, it’s pretty darn good. The aroma has resinous pine and citrus cutting through the significant malt presence. The palate is sticky in a good way. It enhances the evergreen notes well. The hopping is aggressive and pretty clean. Bitter flavors cut through, leaving a drying finish. A good potent IPA.

Can. Copper pour with white head. Smells of malt and hops. Not that hoppy for an ipa. Not bad but could have used for hop flavor.

On tap at Independent Ale House. Pours light golden orange with small white head. Aromas of caramel malts, pine, and a little grapefruit. Flavors light hop bitterness, pine and grapefruit hop notes, and pale malts. Little too malt heavy. Average at best IPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at brewpub. Pours light orange with a white head. Slight pine on the nose. Bigger, leafi hop flavor on the tongue. Finishes fairly clean. Solid example of style. It’s not spectacular but it is drinkable.
