3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a clear amber with a tiny off-white head. Chewy, biscuity and caramellish malt aroma with a fresh touch of green hops. Medium body, sweet caramel and then again this solid dose of fresh, green hops leading to a bitter finish. No biggie for sure but actually very enjoyable - especially considering it’s not from a well renowned beer state at all. 230313

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A: The pour is a fairly dark amber color with a minimal off-white head forming in the glass. Some spotty lacing as well.
S: There’s a strong toffee aroma that is not giving me a lot of hope for this beer. Definitely bready with a strange herbal hop aroma and some sweet oranges.
T: The flavor is of watered down iced tea. Not what I look for in my IPAs nor what I look for in my tea. A decent enough bitterness and not overly sweet, but not really well put together.
M: The body is light to medium with some slightly watery characteristics and a moderate carbonation.
D: Well, South Dakota, we’re not off to a good start in our relationship. This one definitely needs some work...

Copper pour, frothy head. Aroma is lightly pine, not much though. Some lackluster caramel notes. Flavor is much the same. Boring, boring, boring.

Aromas are malt forward with caramel, pine, light orange, tea and a light metallic note. Flavors are bitter with tea, orange peel, caramel and salt. Lively bubbles, medium dry. I hope to have more (and maybe better beers) in the future from South Dakota. Thanks again Bill for helping me get this state!

caramel amber colored body. juicy pine, must and basement in the nose. some mushrooms as well, and a bit dirty overall. flabby malt but it does seem to benefit from freshness (fresh navel orange, pine resin, cut grass) but nothing special. moderately watery finish.
