3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ekarmst (43) - Ames, Iowa, USA - MAY 28, 2012
Not a bad IPA. This beer is dominated by the pine tar astringency that I really don’t care for, but otherwise it is well made. On the smaller side, its still has flavor, body, alcohol and is well attenuated. This beer is worth trying if you happen to find it.

Pours a nice thick head, color is a bit of a dark amber. Nose is subtle pine. Taste is watery and piney. Not a westcoast Ipa and honestly a mediocre ipa. Just OK.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 piscator34 (1644) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 20, 2011
Canned sample. Orange in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are a mix of white and pink grapefruit, pine shavings and sap, caramel, and leaves. The C-hops have a nice semi-sweet grapefruit juice quality about them on the palate, and blend well with the light caramal, pale malt, and fresh cut pine flavours. I get a bit of a floral note in there too, which is quite nice. Moderate bitterness and clean finishing. A very solid mid-west IPA. I’m a bit surprised its overall scores are so low.
