Tap @ Crowbar, Oslo. Hazy dark amber with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, wheaty, banana and yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. Felt a lot like a dunkelweizen. 270713

200ml draught, 5.5% abv, from the six pack menu at the brewpub. Next to clear, dark amber coloured body. Sparse beige head and scattered lacing to the glassware. Mild sweet fruity on the nose, herbal dry. Blended flavours of peach-like fruits and grainy malts. On the sweet side of bittersweet finish. Accepted (Oslo 06.08.2013).

Small beige head. Hazy opaque deep red body. Deep fruity spicy aroma with wild berry notes. Dry-sweet fruity spicy wild berry taste with earthy dusty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, dusty mouthfeel. Dryish dusty mealy dried fruit aftertaste with spicy earthy notes. Lovely aroma, but taste is bit odd, with the earthy, almost acidic finish. Quite nice even so. (0.4l draft at brewpub.)

On tap ath the brewpub. Glowing brown, low carbonation. Very true to type. Quite similar to its close cousin Alt, this has the added rye dimension, giving a wooden tart dryness and grainy goodness. Get it while you can.

Appearance: Cloudy amber color with a creamy off white head. Nice lacing.
Aroma: Fresh light fruity and herbal.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Light acidic. Herbal. Fruity and a solid malty background.
Overall impression: I am maybe becoming a heavy Crow fan. Absolutely outstanding!
Personal stats: On tap @source.

On tap at Crowbar. Dark copper, almost no head. Sweet malt aroma. Quite sweet and spicy, hints of licorice. Too sweet, though with a few interesting twists.

From tap @Crowbar, Oslo. Deep amber colored. Low off-white head. Aroma of dark bread and red berries. Fresh, light acidic fruit/berry flavor. Good malt body with fine bread tones. Healthy body. Delicate dryness and mild spice tones troughout. Nice one! [08.03.13]

On tap @ Crowbar. This is a warm amber looking one, kinda cloudy morning in the glass and it has a small but lacing beige top. On the nose i get sweet malty tones. Hints of both nuts, red fruits and a lite bit of caramel. Nice enough really. In the mouth it feels soft thin oily and it has a mild prickling carbonation level. More sweet red fruits in the taste, but it also has this surprisingly strong influence of lingon berries. Almost salty lingon berries, lots of sweetness going on here almost like a red apple sweetness with a bitter soapy aftertaste. What kind of beer is this really, and what have they put in it? Slightly alcoholic tail with a dry tongue after the last swallow. A bit to strange for my liking, but it’s definitely interesting. 16.10.2013
