Brilliant deep gold to amber body, under a finger of foamy blond head. A subtle whiff of ash blends well with toasted malts and some light fruit tones. Medium body. Subtle ashy and light smokey malts in the flavor, as well. Sweet and hoppy with grassy and fruity bitterness. Exciting and moreish. [Draft at Crowbar, 20.08.13]

On tap @ Crowbar. This is a new release deep golden looking one with a nice medium sized lacing off-white head. Smells of mild hops blended with watermelon, beef and some caramel. The taste however has lots of malty smoked flavors. It’s really thin oily near watery in the mouth and it has a below average prickling carbonation level. Not the hugest smoked fan, but something mixes correctly in my mouth here. It’s actually more ashy and cold-smoked than sweet beefy smoked in the taste. That I can definitely appreciate. A gentle bitterness widens throughout the time I have this in the mouth. Absolutely something I could drink again. 13.10.2013

Appearance: Clear deep golden color with a small white fine head.
Aroma: Malty, some wood and fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Deep malty, cocoa, mild smoked and fruity.
Overall impression: Should have had this one with some food.

500ml draught at the brewpub, fine partner with the freshly made kebab. Crystal clear amber body, bubbly head, good lacing. Smoked malty nose, semi-sweet. Bit of cocoa powder flavours, nicely smoked, leading to a rather sharp, malt bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pleasing (Oslo 02.09.2013).

On tap at the brewpub. Glowing amber. Nice hybrid. The hoppy pale ale intervowen with smoke malt. Like a wood on fire. Fruit, bacon, grass, resin. Fine, but this is a beer where you enjoy one glass and then move on to somethibg else.

5.2% 40 NOK for 0.2cl at the brewpub. An orange gold pour with a slight beige head bodes well for a pale ale. The smell is sweet citrus, the taste is pretty good a sweet, slightly spicy, citrus, fruity flavor. I am getting a candy vibe from it, maybe a  Christmas feel... I like it.
