3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught @ Crowbar og Bryggeri. Reddish brown coloured beer with none to a very light carbonation and a small white head. Sweeter hoppy floral hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is again hoppy bitter with a longer bitter finish. Not expected from a red ale. No sweetness in the finish. Medium.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark red, thin head. Red berries, on the sweet side. Better when sampled just before release, there is a crisp bitterness that is too downplayed. Pleasant beer, though, served far too cold.

On tap at the brewpub
Copper clear, white head. Smells of citrus, grapefruit, zests and hints of roast. Medium sweet, fruity, some roast in the back. Quite watery texture. Medium to heavy bitter, lots of resins. This is a quality amber. Nice hops, very drinkable, simply a really good beer

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium offwhite head. Clear deep reddish amber body. Wooden resiny fruity aroma with spicy notes. Dry dusty resiny citric taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dryish resiny wooden aftertaste with orangey spicy notes. Very resiny, but fresh and clean. Nice. (0.4l draft at brewpub. Name is wrong, though: Trotskij is the Norwegian transliteration of the name. In English it should be Trotskiy or Trotsky.)
