On tap at the brewpub: This brew had two strikes going against it. First, blueberries are my least favorite fruit. Second, the hefeweizen used as its base was one fine, enjoyable brew that, in my opinion, should be left alone. It does have a fresh blueberry nose and flavor, and Ray the bartender says it’s a ladies’ favorite, but it’s just not for me.

Pale yellow with minimum head and lace. Strong odor of blueberry + ale, which continues in the mouth until it is overcome by nice bittering at the finish. Light and quaffable.

This is the best blueberry beer ever. It tastes like you are drinkling blueberry pancakes. Little head, no lace, small white foam. Very smooth Wheat taste.

Draft sample. Poured clear amber color and an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate blueberry aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Refreshing fruit beer.

Tap: Clean golden hue with a small fizzy head. The aroma has notes of blueberries (duh), wheat, pale grains and minerals. The taste is twangy and fruity with some mild sweet malt and wheat. The mouth feel is lively and refreshing, a tad chalky, It is what is is.
