This dark brown ale has a gentle malt sweetness with a nutty, light caramel character that lasts into the finish. Brewed with imported english maris otter barley and fuggle hops. Its dry finish and low hop bitterness makes it readily suited to drinking in quantity. Refreshing yet flavorful.

Very average brown ale, nothing wrong, but not a lot happening. Too little carbonation, hints of coffee in bloom, which seems out of place, finish leaves a coating on the tongue.

Draft sample. Poured hazy brown color and an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt and nuts aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectatios where met.

Not bad. Looked dark with some ruby around the edges. Not much of a head. Smelled like caramel and roasted nuts. Tasted a bit weak and thin, but some good malt character and again roasted nuts. Decent beer. Given the area, a good beer.

Tap: Medium brown hue with a frothy off-white head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of walnuts, toffee, biscuit, earthy and herbal hops, and a hint of juicy fruit gum. The taste is biscuity, caramel, nutty and slightly spicy with some grassy Fuggle bitterness upon the finish. The mouth feel is medium-bodied with soft without being underwhelming. All in all a solid Brown Ale.

On tap at brewery. Pours a clear glowing dark rich brown. Aroma is sweet brown sugar, nutty, molasses, moderately hoppy. Flavor follows, sweet rich brown sugar, molasses, hoppy, tasty sweet without any roast bitterness. Medium thin bodied, light fine fizzy carbonation. I liked it.

On tap at the brewery. Clear dark brown with medium to light beige head. Aroma is subtle sweet biscuit and nuttiness. Flavor is dry and nutty with some chalk and heavily biscuity. Medium body and active carbonation. Pretty tasty though too dry and light bodied for my taste in a brown.
