Sample at Twenty Tap in Indianapolis. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and a bit of sweet chocolate. Medium, semi-dry body with a roasty character and flavors of chocolate malt and hops. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap pour at Industrial Revolution in Valpo - Pours dark with an off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, some roasty notes, and chocolatey. Flavor is chocolate, roasted malt, dark cherry, and a hint of coffee. Slightly thin on the palate, it is still not untrue to the style. Good offering that I’d definitely enjoy again if given the opportunity
