Tap: Sunset coppery hue with a small but lasting head and respectable lace. The aroma is chock full of dank and catty resiny hops with lots of fruity (grapefruit, mango, peach) esters as well. Clove and pepper noticed along with some bready and crystal malts. A hint of earthy woody vapours too. The taste starts with a round house kick to the head followed by a groin shot for good measure. Very bitter and astrengent where even the sweet and pale malts have a issue keeping up. Some hop spice tones about the finish but it was hard to distinguish between them. More than your fair share of alcohol brashness as well. The mouth feel is lively aggressive, sharp, astrengent and boozy, lush and oily in the centre. All in all, I honestly like my DIPA with a tad more balance. Hop heads rejoice for this is up your alley.
