Tap: Clean deep crimson hue with a frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of caramel crystal malts, slight roasted barley, papery, resiny and herbal hops. The taste has a nice balance of hop bitterness and clean sweet malt, A hint of fruity tones and walnut. The mouth feel is lively and quite refreshing. A solid offering

On tap at Crown Brewing, served in a shaker. Dark amber pour with a short-lived tan head that left some okay lacing. The aroma included lightly toasted caramel backed by faint citrus. The flavor had caramel, toasted bread, and some moderately bitter citrus and pine notes. Medium-bodied with light carbonation. Pretty standard amber ale. The hops don’t come through that strong in the aroma, but the flavor has a nice clean bitterness.
