Tap: Deep brown with reddish highlights topped by beige creamy head which left very good lace upon the glass. The aroma is well... milk chocolate shake, even more than the Figure Eight Black Corridor I had earlier in the day. Notes of milk sourness, plum, raisin, walnut, and pipe tobacco comes about every once in while. The taste is mostly sweet chocolate with some dark fruit (molasses?) twang. Only a hint of coffee like bitterness and brief sourness acts a foil to the candy bar sweetness. The mouth feel is the best part about the beer, very lush and slick. Perhaps too easy going and laid back for it’s own good, just like the Irish Stouts from Crown Brewing. I wished it had a bit more thickness and brashness. Still A nice treat even if only in small sips.
