Cask at the Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield on 7th Feb 2010. Crystal clear pale gold with thin lacing white head. Intensely bitter and hoppy with a rich grassy kick and a satisfyingly bitter aftertaste. Pleasantly textured mouthfeel. Superb.

Cask - Beautiful deep pale golden body with a big bubbled white head; Malty background with lots of hop in front, very fresh; Soft textured body with lots of bitter bite, interesting and balanced; Huge finish with lots of complex bitter parts, flower and spices in a perfect mix. Great beer!

Cask at The Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield, ’The Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire’ on the Valley of Beer Day 16-08-08 Pours light straw/light gold in colour light makes it difficult to be certain in this venue, there is no noticeable head. Nice quite thrusting bittersweet taste with some citrus, really quite decent.

Cask in the hillborough hotel, sheffield. Alround rating: Light and easy going stuff, pale malt is easy going, citrusy hop win. Win!

On cask (gravity dispense) at Chelmsford Beer Festival on 15 July 2011. Very surprised to find I hadn’t reviewed this before. Extremely pale straw colour. Loose white head. Excellent condition. Clean and citric. Lots of bitterness. Light bodied and very drinkable. Despite the colour this is much more of a bitter than a golden ale. Straightforward but does the job admirably.

Cask handpull at the Rotherham Oakwood Beer Festival. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Aroma is bready/biscuity malt with firm citrus hoppiness. Flavors are pale malt, maybe a very little crystal malt, and a significant citrus hoppiness.

Caask. Slightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Sweet citrusy hoppy nose - delicious. Light body, almost flat with a sweet fruitiness. Lightly hoppy finish with loads of fresh citrus. Damm, this would be a killer quencher if only served cold! 180110
