Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival, 25 February 2010. Dark and rich. The chilli is subtle and well judged. Not too intrusive at all. Really good. Lots of chocolate and coffee. Good firm mouthfeel.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. A sample courtesy of Simon. Cheers! 7.7% Version. Seems a lot less complex than peoples rating of the 10.3% version. Hazy dark brown beer, no head. A little toffee malt and a trace of fruit. A nice mellow touch of chilli, well used here as a flavour rather than a gun to the taste buds! Alright.

2009 version, 7.7%. Cask at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival, 25th Feb 2010. Wow, I never thought I’d rate a spice beer this highly. Nose has chilli burn and lots of bitter chocolate. In the mouth there’s also iodine and parma violets. An extreme taste but not just a one-dimensional "hot sauce" of a beer. I really enjoyed it.

Cask Stillage at the Roundhouse, Barrow Hill 22/05/2010 (ABV 7.7%) Fruity aroma. Mid brown coloured rich and sweet on the palate with a little dryness and some chocolate flavour in a slightly fiery finish.

A solid stout. Massive peppery kick back. Black pepper dominant on the pallet so much overwhelmingly so. I thoroughly enjoyed this at Bricklayers Arms beer festival in Putney. My main reason for going. Enjoyed with Bob. The toffee and the caramel are present and a gorgeous blend of roasted malts. A lovely stout.

Bottle in the hillborough hotel, sheffield. Alround rating: Its very sweet pale malt, with a good green pepper character, and the alc is really well hidden by this then the chilli kicks in and your like i need something to cool this down, but you continue to drink this beer. Unusual stuff!
