Pours fine chestnut brown with a nice, medium, creamy, white head. Aroma has mild caramel, a touch of butter, some grassy hops. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, some caramel. Rather grassy, okay bitterness.

Hand pulled at the Hillsborough Hotel, AKA The Hillsborough, Sheffield. Last ever barrel of this one, following the brewery’s bankruptcy. Really pleasant cocoa infused bitter. Soft, nutty taste. A sad experience, but a nice one also. Good trad bitter.

On tap at Hillsborough Hotel, pours murky golden. Muddy malts, English hops and floral notes dominate this one. Alright bitter.

On tap, pours a dark amber/orange/brown with a dense creamy head. Aroma and taste of muddy malts and English hops. Smooth and malty, but could have done with more flavour, in my opinion.

From cask at Hillsborough. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty and slight fruity. Malty, slight caramelish and mild fruity flavoured. Rather dry and malty. Dry, bitter and malty flavoured.

Cask på Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield 1 Okt 10. Dyp rødbrun. Nesten sort. Lavt skum. Aroma av plommer. Smaken det samme. Avslutter syrlig bittert.

Patchy surface, clear copper coloured body. Smell of nut-like malts. Caramel and nuts in flavour ending with a pleasant dry bitter touch. Half, cask at Hillsborough Hotel in the upper Valley of Beer in Sheffield 1 Oct 10.

Cask at Hilsborough Hotel, Sheffield. An amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and a bit of butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, and medium notes of malt, leading to a bitter toffeeish finish.

Cask handpull at Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield. Chestnut colour, thin beige head. It’s a slightly malty bitter, some hops on finish. OK bitter, some decent malt, some hop on finish. OK-ish.
