Pours golden with a pillowy white head. Aroma is very floral, dandelion and and a grainy cereal note, followed by slight burlap whif. Flavor is full and well balanced, mildly sweet cereal start giving way to the floral hops which play as much in the back of the sinus as they do the tongue, over a warm nutty character. Mouthfeel is just a tad thin, but far from ruining this otherwise impressively balanced and finely detailed session beer. An underrated beer in an underrated style.

Draft at the brewpub. It poured a yellow color with a white head. The aroma was sweet, grainy malt and some earthy hops. The flavor was grainy, earthy, with a slight hoppy finish.

Bottle from Vas Foremost. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a sticky white head. The nose is strange, light vegetal DMS and fruity esters. Not particularly pleasant. Quite grainy as well. On taste, it is less offensive, more of the estery notes from a warm fermentation. Not particularly clean. Some crisp malt in the background and some faint and faded hop notes. Not a fan really.

This is an excellent beer out of bottle. It is one of the best I’ve found... subtle sweet enjoyable. Light on hops, I’m a hops lover now, but this would be one of my beers of choice if it was near us. Light malty sweetness, very smooth. I’ve not had another blonde/ or beer like this. Highly recommended.

12 oz bottle, pours a little cloudy yellow, slight 1 finger head, light bodied/flavored with a slight bitterness in the finish

12 oz. bottle, $1.69 @ Binny’s. Pale yellow, a bit hazy, under a white bubbly head. Sweet malt smell showing some corn. Taste is quite fizzy and sweet. Just reminds me that I never quite cared for this style. Getting more adjunct taste as I finish it.

Very pale golden with a fluffy, white head that leaves spots of lace. Lightly grainy aroma with a mild hint of dusty hops. Light bodied but refreshing with a touch of lemon and earthy. Finishes clean with a bit of lingering bitterness.

Hazy golden pour from bottle. Thin head. Aroma is citrus. Taste is citrus, spice and lemon peel. Clean finish. Pretty good summer beer.

Courtesy of Strykzone. This poured from the 12 oz bottle a clear gold with a moderate sized white head and light lacing. The nose is light caramel malts and floral hops. Medium body and smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is a good balance of malts and hops and the finish is lightly biter. Good session beer and quite enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle. Hmm, once upon a time it seemed like it was just Boulevard in Missouri, then Schlafly, and now Crown Valley. Pours a golden straw color with a nice sudsy head. I get lots of straw and light malt smell in the nose. Light mouthfeel. Cereal up front, giving way to lemonay and floral notes, followed by a semi bittersweet finish. This would be a fairly decent "lawnmower" beer. Enjoyable.

Strykzone (3132) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUN 20, 2010
Poured into a Crown Valley 22 oz glass. Pour is a clear golden with a small white head. Moderate to light carbonation. Nose is grain and lemon. Flavor begins with robust malt that is accompanied by plenty of zest in the feel. There is some graininess, cereal, soap, and very soft fruit. Warmer temperature smooths out the feel and brings out hops that add bitterness and tart citrus. Fairly complex and a nice summer quencher.
