COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our famous Big Bison Ale has been aged in our very own Missouri Moonshine whiskey barrels, straight from our distillery to the Brewery. The charred oak characteristics add some vanilla and oak flavors to our already exceptional Belgian style Dubbel.

This pours a murky brown color with a slight beige head. The aroma is malty and sweet with hints of whiskey flavors. The taste is quite sweet with the yeast and malts. There are some whiskey tones but they are nothing too over-powering. Not bad, but certainly nothing you would expect from the style.

Pours brown with a off white head. Aroma of fruit, whiskey, wood, malts and yeast. Taste is malts, fruit, whiskey and grass.

Sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Malty with caramel and banana. Slight hints of vanilla and oak. Not bad.

22oz bottle 10/19/13 (Binny’s Naperville)-48° in Trappist Glass-Pours a murky amberish brown with a small off white head. Aroma of vanilla, oak, whisky, and yeast. Taste of vanilla, oak, yeast, and whiskey. This light to medium bodied brew is well balanced and not too shabby. Wish the Dubbel would of come out more.

Great Aroma! A nice rich dark color. The beer had a nice combination of flavors. It starts off with a tart almost lambic like flavor. It then has a rich nutty, and fruity taste. It has a rich buttery taste with a rich caramel ale. It has a smooth finish.

Bottled. Cherry-wood color, nice sustaining head and lacing. Aroma is somewhat subdued bourbon and vanilla pipe tobacco maybe? Tastes a little boozy for a 6.9% but not too hot. Body was a little weak, but an otherwise pleasant beer.

Bottle shared by deyholla, thanks drock! Pours clean chestnut amber w a very nice white head. Nose is tart fruit, some cheese yeast under an a full body. Taste is similar- cheese funk lends the base to a tart topper and a fairly faint hint of a honey whisky... would be quite odd but for some reason is working for me as I find it unique but drinkable: a good combo

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a clear amber gold with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of vanilla and barrel with backing sweet grains with a touch of apple. Flavor has a note of apple and sweet grains that is backed by a bit of warming whiskey and apple.

Wow, maybe I got a bad bottle but I drain poured almost the entire bottle. It smells of oak and bourbon but it tastes like watered down whiskey with a skunky finish. Big disappointment. I’d rather have a Michelob ultra.

Pours a luscious clear copper with a very thick buff head that leaves some generous lacing. Malty, fruity aroma has a definite overtone of whisky-saturated oak. Scrumptious flavor’s malty core supports oak, fruity, caramel and whisky tones, a whisper of honey sweetness and a not quite subtle alcohol nip. Smooth texture is fairly firm, and fizz is not strong but lingers on the lips and tongue.
