Our version of a Belgian style Dubbel, full-bodied and rich with notes of raisin and plum.

12 oz. Clear darkish copper with a quarter inch of lasting foam. Mild nose of scorched brown sugar, dark fruit and cola. Flavor steps it up some with toffee, plum, and dark cherry. Delicate balance finishes barely dry with some light roast, citrus, molasses and a touch of woody hops. Medium body has light-medium carbonation and a nice balance. Nothing real complex, but a tasty and somewhat unique dubbel.

Dark ruby pour. Lots of malt flavors, caramel and some dark fruit. I get a kind of dark ale--almost Scottish--without any real abbey character to it. Drinkable.

This beer’s aroma was reminiscent of toasted malts, allspice, and a hint of smoke, and the color was a clear copper color with an off-white head that faded to a ring and thin layer on top of the liquid. The taste was quite sour, a touch sweet, and slightly bitter, and the palate combines a medium body, thin texture, average carbonation, and an abrupt finish.

Very drinkable, I quite enjoyed this one. Not much aroma, but I was pleased with the taste. Received a few bottles as a gift.

A very good dubbel. Pours a fantastic amber red with a thick tan head. Not too much smell, a little bit of berries. Taste is great, quite malty, with banana and vanilla, and some plum. Refreshing finish. Very good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From beer of the month club. Tastes pretty good but nothing great or too unique. Kind of like a smoother fat tire? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big and bold. Nice head the lasts through the beer in a proper glass. Rich flavor with a good hoppy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
