Our Gunslinger Double India Pale Ale starts with a rich malt base to which we add hops, hops and more hops. This skillful blend of malt sweetness and aggressive hoppiness will rule your senses! After the addition of Columbus, simcoe, centennial and citra hops at various points of the brewing process, we reach the final IBU count of 93.

Aroma is extremely malty and sweet with a coffee cake quality to it, so much so that the hops barely even make an appearance. Very nice looking light amber color, cloudy with a dense off white head. The taste is malty up font with some very slight hop bitterness afterward, but itís muted and bland. I am drinking this at the temp. that is suggested on the bottle (57-61F), but I have tried this much colder and liked it better. When cold the hops are a lot more crisp, but even then itís not all that great. I would not buy this again, way too many quality DIPAs that I could have instead.

Not a bad beer really. Little oily hoppy ok the nose. Pine. Looks fine. Amber with a creamy off white head. Taste is boozy. Some pine. Some floral notes. Shit... A lot better than some of.this crap Iíve been having lately. Palate is smooth but the finish is a little hoppy and very boozy. Overall not a crazy showing for the style but not too bad either. Solid beer.

Bottle. Moderate light bread and grain for the ,alt, light pine and turpentine for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with hints of medicine and sulfur. Head is average size, fizzy/frothy, off-white with excellent lacing and is fully lasting. Color is sparkling clear medium amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a soft carbonation and a lightly alcoholic finish. Out of balance and not so great aromas settles this DIPA into mediocrity.

It pours a cloudy golden orange. It has a full white head. It has a sweet, citrus aroma with hints of malt. It has a sweet, bitter taste with citrus flavors, floral elements, and caramel malts. The carbonation gives it bite, but it is not that bitter on the palate.

Like most crown valley beers, this one isnít all that impressive. Very strong, very alcoholic. The bitterness and the pine are a bit too aggressive.

Beer of month club. Pours a cloudy gold with a one finger white head that recedes but leaves a thin white film. Nice nose - pine, citrus. Taste of some citrus (grapefruit) and bitter hops. Good, but not great, double IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Poirs a clear dark copper color with a thick head and some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, malt a bit of fruit sweetness. Taste of grapefruit, malt sweetness and bit of fruit. Nice bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Medium body, crisp and refreshing wiith a subtle hop presence. Enjoyable beer without all of the hype.

Pours a dense but clean hard amber with two fingers of dense and creamy head. The nose is very rich, hop candy and a heavy sweetness, lots of pine resin, some alcohol, citrus rind, burnt sugar, and malty. Dense in the mouth. Flavor isnít bad, I just quickly grow weary of it. Very heavy and dense flavors, pine resin and alcohol for sure. Lots of body with strong and heavy flavors. Rich and dense malt sweetness and heavy hop resin character.

Bottle; poured a nice orange amber color with an off white head. Aroma of orange, citrus and toast. Pleasant flavor, good orange flavor. Mildly hopped, solid caramel backbone. Very easy to drink.
