Bottle shared by a friend. Clear gold pour with a thick white head. Malty nose with grassy and piney hops. Flavor also starts malty with grassy and piney hops coming through quickly and lasting to the finish.

Pours a clear pale amber color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of citrus, herbal hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, sweet malt and a bit of spice. The finish is moderately bitter with a zesty citrus aftertaste. Really tastes like a straight up IPA not a IIPA but it is still decent.

Beautifully unfiltered straw color with average head. Palate is rich and thick! Hop mix is unique. Lots of balancing malt sweetness!

Crown Valley has disappointed sometimes for me in the past, but this took me by surprise - no, it’s not your typical double IPA, but the tropical fruits come together with just enough hops and body so that it qualifies for the style while standing out on its own merit. I honestly thought this was one of the more compelling new beers at the Joplin Price Cutter Beerfest this year. This is a nifty, creative beer - maybe not classic for the style, but not so out in left field that it doesn’t qualify.

Hazy, reddish-orange pour with a white head. The aroma has a light fruitiness with floral hops and bready malt. It has a medium body with a slightly creamy texture and lively carbonation. The taste is well balanced. It begins bitter, becomes mildly sweet, and finishes dry.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a hop with bit of honey malt. Flavor is more of a juicy fruit hop with a minor honey/caramel malt in the backround. Leaves some pineapple flavor on the tounge after the swallow. It’s not bad as an IPA but not a bitter palate destroyer as most impy IPA’s.

Thanks to anggrec, the Angry Greek, for this one. A strange Double to say the least. The beer pours a clear light amber with very little head and no retention or lacing. The aroma is quite good, best part of the beer, with a lot of bread, candy, and alcohol. The flavor lets me down though. Way too sweet and very little bitterness, just a little bit of burn in the end. The finish is a bit thin as well.

From bottle to tulip. Aroma is nice but taste is a little too sweet for me. Kind of honey flavor. Not as bitter as I like.

THOUGHTS: Lots of hop flavor without all the bitterness, but it is a double IPA so I sort of missed some of the bitter that should have been there. So maybe not the best DIPA, but it was a very nice, easy drinking beer even for the slightly high ABV. I’d even say it leaned toward being a barley win and DIPA hybrid. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy, light orange with a small to average, off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had moderate grain, cereal, caramel and candy; moderate orange, tropical fruit, pineapple and other citrusy hops; and hints of brown sugar. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was heavily sweet and moderate to heavily bitter. There was caramel, honey, orange hops, tropical fruit hops, a little spiciness and pineapple. The medium to full body was a little oily and then slightly dry with slightly tingly carbonation and a slightly alcoholic finish.

From a bottle poured a copper color with a small amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a lingering finish.
