COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our imperial pumpkin stout is deliciously roasted with dark chocolate and toffee notes with a hint of smoke and a little spice from the hops that give it a pine note. The pumpkin adds body and character for a great beer.

Pours an opaque black with a small khaki head that settles to a ring with moderate lacing. Nice aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, graham cracker and vanilla. Taste has a prominent charred roastiness with a sharp pine bitterness, some smoke, clove, mild pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Finishes dry with sharp piney and roasty bitterness. Mouthfeel is fizzy with a medium body and high carbonation. Very pleasant aroma but taste has an acrid bitterness from the roast and piney hops. Didn’t really enjoy.

Beer of month club - and I was excited to try this one, seemed interesting and had great reviews. I was very disappointed. It looks nice enough on the pour - dark black into a snifter with slight head. Strogn nose - but weird. Picked up some pumpkin pie, brown sugar and spcies (which was good), but also an odd funky smell, too. The taste starts out good - nice spice - but then quickly descends into a very vegetal taste that is also somewhat sour. Just did not like it as much as I wanted to do so.

With Z, pours a dark black orange color with a beautiful foamy wispy java head. Nose is rich pumpkin, allspice, with deep cinnamon, nutmeg and malt. Taste is like a spicy pumpkin pie, with all the fall spices , and some chocolate alcohol notes that accompany the taste. Finishes on sweet spicy malty notes, an outstanding monster smash. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Bottle. Pours black with a brown head and aroma of tons of spices - allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin spice. Taste is strong and full of spices and pumpkin. Lots of allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin pie along with roasted malt and alcohol leading to a fall spiced finish.

Dark coffee color, spiced aroma. Good pumpkin flavor and heavy spice notes. Great stout love the cinnamon.

Thanks to Aurelius for the trade! Deep dark viscous pour, quickly fading off-white head. Aroma has a funky spiciness to it with some orange cake mix notes, a touch of spicy liqueur. Flavor is bold with some strong pumpkin spice notes, some slight salty soy sauce notes, some very bittersweet dark unsweetened chocolate notes. Mouthfeel has a nice creaminess to it. Nice novelty, but glad this was only 12 oz - a bomber would have gotten cloying.

2014 bottle. Pours black with a cinnamon khaki head. Aroma is canned pumpkin, cinnamon, and vanilla. Taste was the same with a bit of chocolate and a nice pine bitterness at the end. Medium-full mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Spice, vanilla, vegetal, a hint of smoke. Pours dark black with a light tan head that fades fairly quickly leaving a thin coating on the glass. Medium bodied. Sweet, just a hint of smoke. Spice. There is some legit pumpkin flavor in there. A slight bitterness on the finish. A little after warmth. Not bad.

Nearly black with a tan head. The aroma is complex with wood, chocolate, caramel, and cinnamon. It has a full body with creamy texture and average carbonation. The taste is sweet but finishes a little roasted with a touch of alcohol.

Random bottle from World of Beer. Never heard of these guys but this sounded interesting. Pours black with a khaki to mocha head. Aroma of sweet pumpkins, some cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg spice, sweet cream and sugar. Flavor is cloying chocolate pumpkin spice with an artificial sweetener finish, and maybe a hint of roast. Thin, medium carb, blegh. This is pretty much undrinkable.
