Our imperial pumpkin stout is deliciously roasted with dark chocolate and toffee notes with a hint of smoke and a little spice from the hops that give it a pine note. The pumpkin adds body and character for a great beer.

Aroma is pumpkin puree, a hint of allspice, toffee and booze. There is also a porter-like characteristic to the smell. Pitch black with a large tan head. I can taste the booze, which I don’t mind in an Imperial Stout. I am also getting slight hop bitterness, smoke, cocoa, pumpkin, a little spice with sweetness in the aftertaste. Really good. Unlike a lot of pumpkin beers I have tried, the pumpkin pie spices are not overdone. The palate is great - thick, chewy, perfect for such a big beer. I highly recommend this one. I can’t wait for it to get colder here so I can try it again.

Pours an opaque very dark brown with a gigantic dark khaki head. BBQ, marshmallow, and pumpkin nose. Moderately thick mouthfeel. BBQ, Worcestershire, tart pumpkin, and cool whip flavors.

Served cold. Dark brown pour, thin white head. Aroma is sweet pumpkin spice with a hint of choclate. Flavor is toffee, pumpkin, with a spiced finish. You can taste the alcohol on the finish, which might be the only downside here.

Pours a dark brown color with tannish colored head. Pumpkin pie spices, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate and rounds out with some roasted malts; follows onto the palate. Very smooth, full bodied stout. Finishes with chocolate and pumpkin pie spice, nice combo.

Bottle. Pours a blackish color with no real head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit and spice. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, spice and trace of pumpkin. Mild bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, smooth slightly boozy but has a good feel to it. Enjoyable beer, better than expected.

12oz bottle from ? Black hue, zero visibility with mostly diminishing dark brown head. Virtually no lacing. Aromas of pumpkin, licorice, dark malt, sweet candy, coffee, booze and whipped topping. (The smell was pretty awesome overall) Sweet and strong licorice and pumpkin taste up front with more of a dark malt and whipped topping finish. At first I thought it was going to be too sweet but it got better through the experience. Dry mouth feel. Really good beer, would have again for sure.

From a bottle at the Nook. Pours dark nut brown with a creamy beige head and decent lacing. Tastes like vanilla, caramel, booze, roasted pumpkin, sweet brown sugar, and whipped cream. Light medium body and low carbonation. Smells like vanilla, caramel, booze, whipped cream, brown sugar, and some roasted pumpkin.

Crown Valley Imperial Pumpkin Smash is a pretty tasty pumpkin ale that is almost as good as the top rated ones (like Southern Tier Warlock). Pours dark with a thin but adequate head. Intoxicating aromas of pumpkin and spices. Taste is a bit over the top with the pumpkin, spices and sweetness but still good. The ABV is not real noticeable in the taste. Pumpkin Smash is a nice brew but definitely not sessionable.

355ml bottle. Black pour, smells and tastes like pumkin pie, there is a considerable stout note as well, its competant, if a bit past its date.
