Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Habersham Liquors. It pours a very dark amber with a large rocky head of off-white foam. The nose is faint with notes of bread. The taste has some light malt sweetness, some hop bitterness, and a bit of tea perhaps. Dry on the back end. Light to medium body. Very drinkable. Tasty brew.

A clear, dark amber pour with a frothy off-white head. The malty aroma has notes of caramel and bread. The light body has a thin texture with lively carbonation. It has a typical mildly sweet taste.

Pour is a dark brown with a large whtie head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts. Flavor is again sweet malt to start then comes a bit of earth and a nice hop left on the tounge. Hoppier then usual marzen but I’ll get over it. Decent fest beer.

16 oz. glass on draft at Crown Valley. This is one of those beers that just piss a person off. It is made by mixing their porter and their pilsner at the taps. DO NOT DO THAT! Ok, I’m still pissed off two days later. It was mentioned that their new brewmaster plans another version. PLEASE DO THAT! To be honest, I really didn’t care what it smelled like or tasted like. Did I mention that I was pissed?

Draft sample at the brewery. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malts, yeast, mild spices, earthy hops, caramel, and toast. The flavor largely follows suit, and is a very mild blend of sweet, spicy, and malty. Light-medium bodied, with a slightly grainy mouthfeel. Simple, straightforward Oktoberfest.
