Milky yellow with a large moderately fading white crown. Aroma is bananas and wheat odd the top with some clove and yeast followed by lemongrass and grains. Some banana with wheat, bubblegum, yeast and mild spices. On the low side for carbonation. Average hefe.

Clove aroma. Thin. No head at all. Banana flavors. Tart. Mildly refreshing but this beer is a bit boring. It needs more life!

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Murky dark orange pour, no head whatsoever. Artificial lemon aroma. Flavor has some bubble notes, a bit of artificial banana. Decently thick aroma. Not a hefe for the ages.

Bottle at Big Kahuna bar (Summer Bay resort, Orlando, FL). Pours a slightly hazed golden orange color with a thin white head. Aroma has some nice German style hefeweizen notes with emphasis on banana and wheat. Flavor is quite refreshing.

Elwood (1967) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 29, 2011
Serving: Draft at The Distillery. It pours a cloudy yellow with a small, white head. The nose is very faint with slight wheat notes. This brew is pretty flavorless with a dry finish. A slight hint of yeast and wheat. Thin, watery body. Very unremarkable. Take a water instead.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy straw gold with almost no head. Light aroma of wheat and maybe some citrus. Taste is light sweet. Little bits of wheat, citrus and clove. Light bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, it’s ok. Easy drinking and a good lawnmower beer, but not much else.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 10/11/11

Aroma: The nose is fairly light with notes of lemon, yeast, clove, pepper, and other spices
Appearance: This one pours a mostly clear golden color with a small white head and no lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly similar to the nose, lightly sweet, with lemon, spice, and yeast mostly
Palate: The body is light, and it is a fizzy mess, way overly carbonated, which kills any sense of drinkability
Overall Impression: This was an alright beer, but the carbonation killed this one for me. It feels like a gas explosion in my mouth. Why is there so much carbonation? It made it hard to finish. You can tell from the score that I would have gone much higher, but the palate kills the overall.

Golden color with thin lacing and lots of effervescent. Medium nose with a nice balance between tropical and citrus fruits. The bubbles continue on the palate with lots of orange and tangerine flavors. There is also a wheat and cardamom feel to the beer.

Not much a fan of this beer. Banana Beer, if that sounds like you this is for you. If not, well skip it... I will in the future.
