COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Occasional;
Intensly aromatic, with lots of lemony fruit, spices and a hint of white chocolate. There is plenty of yeasty aroma, that’s quite high and floral. On the palate it is very easy-drinking, with not a lot of hoppy flavour, plenty of racy citrus fruit and an underlying bitterness that adds a grippy edge.

Bottle , Sheffield. Hazy yellow with a nice white frothy head. Wheaty aroma, some banana, grassy notes, apple. Weird flavour for a wheat, quite bitter, maybe not thatwell balanced by sweet hops, spicy, grassy hops.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy and opaque golden with a lacing off-white head. Comes gushing. Distinct wheat, banana and yeast - very Hefe-like. Light body, lots of banana, yeast and astringent phenols with a whiff of citric acid. Ends rather dry. 230110

[bottle purchased from the Hillsborough Hotel during RBESG 2009] Spicy, refreshingly sour wheat aroma with some clove and scotch tape notes. Careful pouring results in a misty gold under a lasing, lacy white cover. Spicy sour wheat flavour with slight malt sweetness that is nicely balanced by sharp, crisp bitterness. Very quaffable and is packed with flavour, albeit not hops flavour, for a 4.4% brew. Light body, slightly bitter, crisp finish, medium carbonation.

[RBESG, Sheffield]
Bottle @ Hillsborough Hotel, Sheffield.
Pours hazy yellow with a nice, frothy, white head. Aroma has sweet wheat, light banana and green apples. Medium carbonation, a bit weak, but fair dryness in the mouthfeel. Flavour is rather bitter, grassy, some pepper. Sweet wheat to balance it okay.

Bottle from the hillborough hotel, had at home. Alround rating: Thin wheat, clove and herbal yeasty esters, big grassy sharp bitterness, almost iodiny, fits the style well for a british weisse, but not really my deal.

Bottle conditioned. Blonde, cloudy. Grassy citric aroma with green apples. Citrus flavor, just a hint of sourness. Dusty and earthy. Not a traditional witbier, but quite drinkable.
