Overraskende god sak. Kaffe-sjoko med en eller annen japansk umf og nydelig bitterhet. Jeg har lyst på en til! ---Rated via Beer Buddy

On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown with a red hue and a beige head. Roasted malts nose, hints of oats. In the mouth roasted sweetness gradually gives way to a bitterdry finish. Interesting.

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown/ blackish color. Good Roasted aromas, malt, licorice and mild wasabi in the aftertaste. Some good yeast influence. Medium body & complexity. Some bitterness, well balanced. Very enjoyable- really like the hot spices of this one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Black with a subtle red color. Tan head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Dark malt and light spicy.
Palate: Medium plus body. Moderate sweet and a mild bitterness. Smooth carbonation.
Taste: Coffee, roasted malt and a bit spicy. Not difficult to guess that it is wasabi when you read at the board.
Overall impression: I really enjoyed this one. Hopefully they keep brewing this beer!

From tap @Crowbar, Oslo. Dark translucent with ruby highlights. Low choco head. Initial aroma of ashy dark malts, offset by a peppery spice note and a hint of leafy hops. Quite well-bodied. Smooth, almost creamy in the mouth. The wasabi is noticable (because I knew), but most of all a general peppery spicy tone. Well roasted malt flavor with a note of soy sauce. Light tarry and peppery endnotes. A good one, with exciting and well merging flavors. [13.12.12]

On tap at brewpub, december 14th 2012. Black colored body, good lasting beige head. Aroma of coffee, smoke and ash. Taste is roasty with spices, the wasabi I guess, good bitterness, overall a good stout.

Small brown head. Clear deep dark red body. Fruity spicy licorice aroma with herbal notes. Dry, and faintly sweet, spicy licorice taste with roasty fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, delicate mouthfeel. Dryish roasty salmiak licorice and spice aftertaste with sooty dusty notes. Lovely! Really delicate and harmonic, with excellent clarity of flavour. (0.2l draft at brewpub.)

On tap at the brewpub. Lovely stout, just the little spicy edge to make it stand out. Smooth, silky, then some rough edges in the tail. Certainly a beer to come back to.
