3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I had never heard of this supposedly (according to the label) Dutch beer. But it was actually not that bad. Quite dark cloudy brown coloured, small but lasting brown head. Roasted malts and chocolate in aroma. Very sweet flavour, but nevertheless ok.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, snifter. Deep brown hue with maroon edges. Enormous, frothy, creamy, light tan head that’s fairly well lasting. Chocolate, walnuts (with husks), dusty and doughy yeast, medicinal, red grapes, meaty, lettuce, sanguine. There’s some good stuff here, but, underneath…strange things. The strange things are mostly in the back, but still. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic (tart) flavor. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter finish. Flavor is nice though, most of the oddities are not present. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an amber brown with a big off-white head and an aroma of fresh fruits, slightly acid, hops and some malts. The flavor is not too sweet, there’s some notes of roasted malts, toffee, sweet chocolate, mild hops and vinegar. Not too bad.
