COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hops climb up twine that’s just loosely tied to the trellis with a half hitch knot— and this Imperial IPA is just loosely tied to tradition. The Mosaic hop imparts surprisingly floral aromas instead of the more expected grapefruit-y notes. On the palate, complex layers of flavors might remind you of guava, mango, stone fruit and lemon, unraveling your idea of what an Imperial IPA should be.

Clear golden with a thin sticky white cap. Big whopping loads of guava and mango on the aroma, with a quite-bitter resinous hoppy note. Nice fruit-packed flavor that’s all hops. Though there is an unfortunate earthy acidic tone underneath it all. Very guava and bitter earthy floral resins, and lemon peel and mango. Finishes with a calming bit of fruit and orange. Not shabby, but a bit too out there for me.

375ml bottle, from Johns marketplace. Pours a clear, light Amber color with a thin white head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, grapefruit, resin, pineapple. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, cereal, pine hops, pineapple, orange, tangerine, with a light, fruity, bitter finish.

Draft at world of beer denver. Hazy golden color, mild aroma, light white foam. Excellent balance of high alcohol and hops, neither dominates and the 10 percent doesn’t come through as hot. This is one that can sneak up on you, quite nice!

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit pith, resin), lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of aspirin, souring fruit, bile, pear syrup, alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, chalky/aspirin-ish. Medium to full body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic. It’s hard to imagine anyone liking such a rough, pithy, aspirin-ish brew, but it’s all subjective and some folks must enjoy those characters. Syrupy, biting, and downright unpleasant. A drain pour for me.

How do you hide an ABV 10%, you put mangoes in front of it. This is the perfect Imperial Mosaic II-IPA, take note breweries you cannot top this. From the Bottle; poured with no head, a copper body, the flavors of Mangoes and tropical fruits overwhelm the palate leads to a non-lingering aftertaste of hops. 5/5 would buy again.

Pours two fingers of head on a hazy straw body. The aroma is lots of bright fruits: mango, pineapple, lemon, orange and a little dankness. The taste has a malty start then turns to moderate bitterness and finishes a little spicy. Great profile. The texture is soft and a little fizz. Great aroma and taste. A super winner.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of green veg/hop and light fruits. Med + body. Flavor is dankish with crazy fruits and some supporting caramel. It’s mosaic, but has lots of citrus too. Some quaffs make me think of sliced cactus. Very strongly flavored without a hint of heat. Very, very hoppy and tasty. Not to mention nicely bitter.

On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours Dark golden with a nice off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a full-bodied pale malt flavor with a bitter citrus finish. A solid brew.
