Hops climb up twine thatís just loosely tied to the trellis with a half hitch knotó and this Imperial IPA is just loosely tied to tradition. The Mosaic hop imparts surprisingly floral aromas instead of the more expected grapefruit-y notes. On the palate, complex layers of flavors might remind you of guava, mango, stone fruit and lemon, unraveling your idea of what an Imperial IPA should be.

On tap at the Foundry. A solid Imperial. Spicy hop and citrus aromas lead to a fairly full bodied brew, fruity and citrusy with an alcohol underbody. Itís not complex, itís not bitter and it is very drinkable. One more 4 star member of a very large club.

Dank and bitter initial flavor, light sourish tropical fruit (Mosaic), and chewed up weeds. Medium-heavy body. Aroma isnít exactly Mosaic, but flavor is. Very juicy, thick, and tasty.

At a tasting, small creamy bubbly head, hazy orange color, aroma of citrus, onion and guava, fruity flowery flavor with a very light maltiness in the back, shrubby slightly soapy bitterness, suprisingly light bodied. Highly drinkable.

Iím a sucker for Mosaic hops. This bottle was sent to me in a trade, bottled on 11/15 /15. Itís a muted version of its glorious self, Iím sure, so Iíll rate it accordingly.

Bottle. Pours a clear peachy gold with a light gray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of earthy tropical fruit with some grapefruit, a bit of onion and a bit of sweet grains. Flavor has a good amount of earthy tropical fruit supported by onion, sweet grains and a hint of grapefruit.
