Hops climb up twine that’s just loosely tied to the trellis with a half hitch knot— and this Imperial IPA is just loosely tied to tradition. The Mosaic hop imparts surprisingly floral aromas instead of the more expected grapefruit-y notes. On the palate, complex layers of flavors might remind you of guava, mango, stone fruit and lemon, unraveling your idea of what an Imperial IPA should be.

How do you hide an ABV 10%, you put mangoes in front of it. This is the perfect Imperial Mosaic II-IPA, take note breweries you cannot top this. From the Bottle; poured with no head, a copper body, the flavors of Mangoes and tropical fruits overwhelm the palate leads to a non-lingering aftertaste of hops. 5/5 would buy again.

This is the best beer I’ve had in a long time. Too bad it was only on tap for a short time at a local spot. I look forward to trying it again.

Draught. Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a very large white head on it. Nose is very hoppy and inviting, with a lot of floral and grassiness to it. Taste is moderately bitter and very fresh. This ends up being rather smooth and refreshing. Great drink.

Poured from bottle a not quite clear golden with thin white head. Floral aroma. Citrus floral flavor with the focus more on the floral. Sweet but not cloying. Medium carbonation. Sweet finish. Tasty.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2015 Update: 375 mL bottle poured. Acquired a bottle that is only 3 weeks old. Bottled 12/22/14. Love this stuff fresh. Pours a semi cloudy golden color with an incredible mango fruit hoppy aroma. Sweet tropical fruit flavors with a good hop balance. An amazing IPA here.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2014 Yes, please. Very well made double IPA - not over the top but very nice soft aromatics and flavor. Lots of floral and tropical fruit in both. Medium bittering. Sooooo smooth. Also goes from tap to bottle very very well. Such a soft feel for a 10% beer!

375mL bottled Sep22 (2014), $6.59 at Chuck’s Hop Shop while in Seattle the beginning of October. Clear medium gold with a small off-white head, creamy with fair retention. Big tropical and citrus nose, light sweet malt behind. Tropical fruits and ripe sweet tangerine and orange pulp come through in flavor, with some good dry hopped backing. Mild sweet malts, good considering the strength--usually they tend to be underattenuated or too caramelly. Just getting a bit of cat pee. Dry finish, bitterness peaked at a 3-4 (which I really like. Smooth creamy low to moderate carbonation with a full body. The brightness and fruitiness of the hops and minimal sweetness (and lack of much alcohol burn) make this a dangerous one. Delicious.

Pours two fingers of head on a hazy straw body. The aroma is lots of bright fruits: mango, pineapple, lemon, orange and a little dankness. The taste has a malty start then turns to moderate bitterness and finishes a little spicy. Great profile. The texture is soft and a little fizz. Great aroma and taste. A super winner.
