COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hops climb up twine that’s just loosely tied to the trellis with a half hitch knot— and this Imperial IPA is just loosely tied to tradition. The Mosaic hop imparts surprisingly floral aromas instead of the more expected grapefruit-y notes. On the palate, complex layers of flavors might remind you of guava, mango, stone fruit and lemon, unraveling your idea of what an Imperial IPA should be.

This is the best beer I’ve had in a long time. Too bad it was only on tap for a short time at a local spot. I look forward to trying it again.

Draught. Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a very large white head on it. Nose is very hoppy and inviting, with a lot of floral and grassiness to it. Taste is moderately bitter and very fresh. This ends up being rather smooth and refreshing. Great drink.

Poured from bottle a not quite clear golden with thin white head. Floral aroma. Citrus floral flavor with the focus more on the floral. Sweet but not cloying. Medium carbonation. Sweet finish. Tasty.

Bottle. Clear light yellow pour with a white head. Citrus hop bouquet. Tropical fruit and citrus hop notes with a nice caramel malt backbone. Good body and mouthfeel.

On tap at Belmont Station. Colour...semi cloudy golden-straw with a thin white head. Nose...sweat! Gotta be the mosaic comin through! Sweaty pine cones drizzled with ponderosa pitch! Palate...guess what? More sweat! But it’s pleasing to me! Sweet but not cloying, with a sappy dryness that marries well with the orchard fruits and tropical fruit salad that dances its way across the entire palate. A damn fine impy IPA!

Bottle pour at home. Fruity aroma. Very drinkable. You would never guess this is 10%. Very impressed with this beer. Delicious.

pleasant floral aroma with a rich golden color, slightly cloudy. A touch of creaminess to a rich hoppy flavor. Goes nicely with some spicy food.

Bottle from Bottleworks, Seattle; bottled Feb 11 ’14
Golden color, hazy, with the light of the sun; the head is small. The aroma is nice, but not deep; more was expected, maybe because the bottle is 3 months old; some fruit salad, not specifically citrusy. Good note, the mouthfeel is quite lean and highly drinkable; the malts are subtle, with light toffee notes; and the hopping is perfect, mostly fruity, with original notes of guava and mango; moderately sweet body, well integrated with the strong bitterness; the final is slightly more resiny, a nice biting end, some sweet orange too.
A bit expensive (6.56$ after tax, 37cl) but very nice.

Great Brew. Spicy onion aroma, almost foul smelling. Very good, taste, grapefruit, onion, clean smooth palate.

On tap art the Red Hot. Golden amber color. Thin white head. Strong scent of hops and mango. Taste is a good combination of hops and fruit. Smooth beer.
