4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 HogTownHarry (4809) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2011
August 13, 2011 - bottle from glouglouburp shared with MesandSim, Reakt, Nate2g and others. A gorgeous apricot colour, thick-looking with huge legs; 5/5 just because I don’t give enough of those. Aroma is also nearly perfect - ripe apple and nougat nutty sweetness, light acidity, very mild alcohol presence for 12% Taste follows, but pretty much straightforward apple acidity, sweet and moderately boozy. Slick, syrupy, light mouthfeel, with a complex, tight, complex acidic finish, with a hint of off-dry well-aged white wine - really, really good, one of the best I have had yet - can’t wait for their "special" version.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 MesandSim (7108) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2011
A Mes rate. Bottle thanks to the genius that is HogTownHarry. I actually had this a few nights ago but I didn’t rate it so I’m having it again and rating it now. Maybe I should have done this before we got tucked into the prestige version but there it is. Basically, it’s like the Prestige, just not quite as good. To be honest, this is even sweeter. And the sherbet is even more pronounced. Damn. I love ice ciders, I just can’t rate them. Love it.

2008 bottle thanks to Harry. Lovely deep rich amber. Its pretty good. Prestige is good and better. Similar but not quite as intense. Its still pretty good but a touch on the one dimensional side. Good though

Pouring at Le Mondial des Cidres Glaces. Pours a deep amber gold. Up front are some edgy and lightly abrasive apple aromas, bright and young. Lots of acid and peel and skin flavors. Young and fresh, loads of tannins, skin, and acid.
