Straight pour from twist-off, foil-wrapped 355ml bottle to small tumbler; best by date of December 6, 2011 printed on label (06/12/11) Appearance (2/5): Body is a crystal-clear (fittingly), sunshine-yellow with a fat, full finger of very, very fine head fading relatively quickly to a thin, translucent, creamy cap. Lots of very fine bubbles. Smell (3/10): N/A? Faint scent of lightly sweet malts. No hops in the nose. Taste (3/10): First comes a mild, crisp-to-bitter wave, which fades to be replaced with a kind of mildly sour aftertaste. Underneath all of this is pale malt mixed with a faint corn flavor. Super-pasteurized, adjuncted to hell, is how this tastes. Mouthfeel (2/5): Smooth, but very light, carbonation. Disappears quickly. Overall (5/20): Just . . . don’t. Second Brazilian beer I’ve had with “Premium” in the name, and the second F rating I’ve given. May be a trend. Friends don’t let friends drink Crystal Premium, especially when there are so many other, more easily obtainable, and even more inexpensive examples of this style to be had.

had from bottle by mouth while sitting in chair at residence claimed by me. standard gold, low but hearty head .. light sweetness, good for rio/houston weather .. . refreshing.. . no pilsener, but a decent pale .. next stop HAARP

Typical brazilian macrobrewed lager. Blonde color and poor taste. Light body.

Bottle. Golden Color and begin with a nice white head but disappear quicly, aroma is too weak, i couldn’t percept nothing. Flavor is bitter and better than othe crystal, some corn in there too, the mouthfeel is almost unperceptable. Cerveja dourada com boa espuma no começo e some rápido, fraco aroma, não pude perceber algo marcante. Sabor amargo e alguma nota de milho nele, melhor que a outra crystal. Não fica um gosto na boca.

Pale, pale straw color with a good white head. So pale I expected it to be awful. Almost no nose; again, I expected the beer to be awful. Thin in the mouth, too. And yet, it is cold, refreshing, and surprisingly hoppy. I mean, not hoppy hoppy. But I was expected Coors light and I got a beer. Not a good beer, but so much better than I expected.

Cerveja premium da cervejaria Petrópolis. Espuma rala e branca. Cheiro suave de malte. Coloração dourada. Um pouco mais encorpada que as normais, sabor maltado, levemente amargo, refrescante. Não tão boa, mas não desagrada.
