01/08 On tap @Eleszto, Budapest. As Betyar villagos. It poured slightly hazy deep golden body with tiny head. Elderflower and orange hop aroma, some mild yeast. Flavor was lightly sweet, very flowery, too much in rose perfume way actually. Some fruitiness hidden underneath. Thin in body with moderate sweet and acidic perfumey finish. Not bad but expected so much more since I heard only good things of the brewery and also it was quite more expensive than the other ales offered.

Opalescent look, colour of peach juice, with quickly disappearing yellow head. Aroma of hops and some yeast with hidden herbs. Taste is light but fresh, with some slightly sweet notes.

At the F-Fest. Poured an opaque caramelly brown body that would’ve been impressive if not for the fact that it was headless. The headless betyár smells funky (heh), sourish juicy and malty, yeasty and almost perfumey... complex but... yup, infected. Sourish fruity yeasty taste. Not unpleasant, just infected. Damn, and I can’t even rate it low.

On tap at Skanzen Klub, Budapest. Murky brownish coloured, medium sized off-white head, hint of fruits in the nose. Moderate toasted malty, light caramel and fruity (lemon and peach) with mild floral finish. Bit watery palate but still ok beer.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2012 On tap at Skanzenclub, Budapest. Cloudy ligth brown color with minimum off-white head. Tart malty odor. Interesting wet, roasted malty aroma with dried fruits, bread, spices and some herbs. Medium body with slick oily texture and light carbonation. A bit honey finish. Interesting with unique aroma and taste, like an English one.

On tap at Sörspecialista, Bp. Hazy orange brown pour with a medium sized off-white head on its top.. Tart, citrus-fruity nose and aroma with caramel and berries underpainted gently by florals, mouthfeel’s slick. The medium dry and light sharp finish brings citrusses, mild toast and spices along, which leaves a tart aftertaste behind. Enjoyable and corpulent brew because of its unfilterness.
