Bottle (labelled Cubanero Fuerte from Beers of Europe, UK). Slightly sweet barley malt and grassy hops aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet corn syrup and barley malt flavor - not much body. Good thing they got their cigars going for them.

Can. Pours a clear, pale golden body with a nice white head. Grainy and fruity aroma with a touch of wet cardboard. Grainy flavor with a little hoppy bitterness and some alcohol, leading to a slightly fruity finish. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Indeed boring, but drinkable and unoffensive, probably well suited to slake the thirst on a hot day. (080229)

Bottled 33cl. It pours a golden beer with a small white head. Lively carbonation. The nose is slightly smoky with a hint of vanilla. Impressive. Lots of corn, malt, candy and raisin in the taste. Papery. Some rosemary showing up. Surprisingly vinous. Hints of marshmallows with a nice touch of vanilla. A decent brew.

Had this at Breezes in Georgetown and thought it might be a reason to continue the trade embargo with Cuba. Not a lot of flavor for a beer called Fuerte.

Appearance: golden color. Little and white head. Aroma: typical malty and sugar smell of common Latino-American’s lagers. Light citric and herbal hoppy aroma. Flavor: some insipid start with ephemeral pale malt taste, progress some astringent and slight dry-herbal to hopps. Maybe a grapefruit’s reminiscences. Palate: light body and watery texture. Medium carbonated. Some insipid, but with dryness some lasting. Refreshing beer.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a small head. Aromas are grain with some citrus sourness. Fruity and clean. Flavours are hoppy with soft lemon. Dry and spicy with some apricot. Thin caramel malts with metal and evident alcohol.

My local sake and beer shop was out of anything half-way decent, so I figured I’d pick up something new and different, despite my reservations. Clear golden and a small foamy white head. Corny malts, some sweetness as well. Is there any flavor? What is there is some light malts, maybe a hint of hops, and metallic tones. Carbonated body. Nothing to hate here, but nothing to see again, either.

Bottle at home as Cubanero ... An innofensive standard lager, ive had worse and definitly better lagers. maybe a touch fruiter than most.

Bottle from Adenila. [Odense Tasting.]
Could be, just for the "feeling", good to some mexican food, if they have nothing else than pilsners. In the better range of the pilsners sampled today. Nice drinkable!
