Draught at Fiebre de Malta, Mexico City. Hazy orange/amber, firm creamy head. Aroma of lime and grapefruit. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Plenty of lime, grapefruit and pine. Long bitter finish with resiny undertones. Nice!

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy Reddish copper amber brown colour, lasting beige head. Some toffee and hop on the aroma. It’s a malty hoppy apa. A bit sweet for me. OK hops. Yes again starting to turn in terms of freshness.

Was surprised on pouring how dark a ’pale ale’ this is for a continental brew. Not bad after the few pilsners I had earlier. Plenty of taste. mouthfeel and malt/hop balance going on. Its Belgium like in its complexity.

Ambar, translucida. Bonita espuma cremosa. En boca es ligera algo aguada. Aroma malteado, notas de miel y madera. Malteada, dulce, tostada, notas florales. Cansina.

One of the best Mexican beers I’ve had, surprisingly found in Canada. Nice hop/malt balance with a lightly bitter finish.

Can picked up locally from notes. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, mild fruits, some metallic character, mild bitterness, seems that the hops are faded so I don’t know how old the can is, but I wouldn’t revisit this either way.

Hazy amber. Thin head. Aroma is not much and it’s just a fizzy amber ale. Burpy. Ok as an amber but will disappoint if you’re looking for any hops.

Pour is slightly hazy amber with a quickly disappearing dense white head. Beautiful caramel notes in the nose with a touch of citrus. Taste is caramel malts, too. Slightly sour aftertaste. Low bitterness and medium carbonation. Tasty pale ale!

12oz bottle - OK, so the only thing more weird than a brewery in Mexico making a great American Pale Ale, is a Mexican brewery making an English barleywine, which both of these style the boys from Cucapá did, and did well. Plenty of hop character in the aroma and palate, though the flavor is where this beer is shining. Surprisingly hoppy with lots of citrus character, balancing caramel malt found. Very enjoyable and kudos to our brothers and sisters south of the border. This is a beer to be proud of and should be consumed widely down there.
