Bottle from Ramirez Liquor. Copper colored pour with an off-white head. Vegetal hop notes, particularly celery. Caramel, bread, apple, and pear on the nose as well. A touch of pine. Sweet flavors of bread and caramel dominate. Maybe a touch of butter. Celery, some pine bitterness, and grass.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can picked up locally from notes. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, mild fruits, some metallic character, mild bitterness, seems that the hops are faded so I don’t know how old the can is, but I wouldn’t revisit this either way.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy amber. Thin head. Aroma is not much and it’s just a fizzy amber ale. Burpy. Ok as an amber but will disappoint if you’re looking for any hops.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is slightly hazy amber with a quickly disappearing dense white head. Beautiful caramel notes in the nose with a touch of citrus. Taste is caramel malts, too. Slightly sour aftertaste. Low bitterness and medium carbonation. Tasty pale ale!

12oz bottle -
OK, so the only thing more weird than a brewery in Mexico making a great American Pale Ale, is a Mexican brewery making an English barleywine, which both of these style the boys from Cucapá did, and did well. Plenty of hop character in the aroma and palate, though the flavor is where this beer is shining. Surprisingly hoppy with lots of citrus character, balancing caramel malt found. Very enjoyable and kudos to our brothers and sisters south of the border. This is a beer to be proud of and should be consumed widely down there.

"can with a venom like creature on the front. above average pale all around, which was a bit of a pleasant surprise. a little cardboard/biscuit malt in the aroma and flavor is the only thing that prevents this from being a standout in the style."

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. Opaque honey brown. Large tan head. Mild aroma. Grainy, light orange, and caramel. Lacks definition. Taste leads with bubblegum. Unexpected. Heavy malt presence. Hint of citrus on finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Serving: Bottle. Hazy amber pour with a medium off white head. Caramel and dull herbal hops in the nose. Highest rated beer in Mexico? Tastes more like a bitter by Green King to me. Flabby on the tongue with a medium finish. Meh.

355 ml bottle. Pours hazy golden with medium head. Aroma is hops and vanilla? Taste is a bit unexpected, nice hoppy bitterness and malts.
