Bottle. Poured clear reddish brown color with a moderate frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate dark fruit and small caramel malt aroma. Medium body with a dry smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate dark fruit sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a complex unbalanced beer.

22oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber/ruby with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of caramel and cereal malts, some light hops, a little bit of spice, and hints of alcohol. Flavor the same, with a lot of malts. Smooth texture. A pretty good beer.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish brown. Light off white lacing. Nose/taste of candi sugar, apple skin, toffee, caramel, honey, dark fruits and bread soaked in alcohol. Finishes sweet with little to no alcohol burn. Body is on the lighter side for the ABV but not by much. Sticky sweet honey and caramel mouth feel. Overall, a very drinkable barleywine.

Bomber. Pours a reddish orange golden color with a small off white froth. Aroma of very sweet malts, lots of caramel and toffee and honey. Touches of dark fruit and a bit appley I suppose. Flavor starts with some sharp fruitiness, again some apple and darker fruits, picking up some sweetness and a lot of toffee caramel notes, bready candy character. Ah I cant get past the candy. Mediumish body and a soft carbonation. It’s just way too sweet for me, frustrating. I feel like this could have had potential, they just didnt create enough character. Unfortunately it is starting to edge towards that crazy boozy malt liquor eastern european strange barley wine

Bottle thanks to funkybrewster. Pours a nice caramel amber with a fine fizzy head. Aroma heavy of corn syrup, light alcohol, hint of hops. Flavor follows, big on the corn, however, not at all vegetal like many of other beers with that same corny flavor, caramel and light butterscotch, faint piney hops, very slick, with a light booze kick at the end, malt liquor barley wine?

Really.. 3rd rating total, and 1st outside of Mexico.. and I bought the bomber in Milwaukee? Anyways.. poured a lovely Grade A Medium Amber (if we were talking maple syrup), with an easily-resuscitated short khaki head.. crystal-clear, and I loved the color. The aroma was on the sweet side with honey and vanilla leading, and caramel, treacle, and some fruit behind.. light earthy hops and a hint of peppery alcohol accented.. quite nice. The flavor found similar sweetness at the core, again with honey and vanilla leading.. sticky sweetness on the edges held onto a little prickly alcohol, but other than that, the boozage was hard to find until the end.. a little green and hot on the finish.. warmed up the belly. Medium-bodied and sweet as mentioned on the palate.. sticky at times.. more skewed toward the sugars than I’d like, but it came together well. I’d drink this again.

UFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF ,UF Y RECONTRA UF!. (Wow in English).Well ,maybe my rating might be partial considering that i live in the very town this beer is made, however, i really enjoyed this beer, altough i consider it not as good as Centenario or the Generic Barley Wine ,both from this same company, but still a great beer.Has a very malty palate ,sweet molases almost like Vienna style,no roasty palate like all the others BWs that i had, bubbly, super aromatic.Man it is a very pricey bottle $94 pesos a 500ml but still, Thumbs way up!

Bottle, 650ml. Pours a clear reddish/copper colour with a modest tan head. Aroma is a touch faint, but offers some nice dry fruit and malty notes. Body is nice and heavy, can’t make out much flavour though, some dry fruit character only. Palate is quite bitter, with a heavy alcohol touch. Great, new beer, by the arguably greatest Mexican brewery today.
