Nekronos (2027), Xalapa, Mexico Nov 20, 2008 Probably th best American honey beer I have tried, at leats in body. Light amber colour.
alexanderj (1502), San Diego, California, USA Dec 17, 2008 Bottle. Poured an orange, bronze color with a small, but compact off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, honey, bread and some floral hints. For the first time with this brewery, I was a bit disappointed. In all fairness though, I was probably expecting too much from a golden ale. Flavor was a bit too cloying, with a lot of honey and sweet malt. Bready as well, with little hops as expected. Despite my criticism, this is definitely an above average of the style. miketd (461), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Oct 31, 2008 Thanks to cbkscubert for a bonus bottle in trade. Pour is a rusty bronze with a decent off white head. Aroma is honey and bready malt. Sweet honey flavor without being cloying. Soft carbonation here. Not a bad beer for what it is. AmEricanbrew (1218), Office of The President Elect,, Louisiana, USA Oct 28, 2008 Clear amber with a fizzy white head. Nice floral honey aroma. Light/medium body. Decent malty sweetbread flavors with a fermented honey essence. Crisp clean finish. Not too bad. Snojerk321 (1153), San Diego, California, USA Oct 18, 2008 12oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a nice clear golden color with a small white head. Nice nose of honey, sweet malt and yeast. A pretty good blond/ honey ale.
