12 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose of light flowery-piney hops and nuttiness; copper with a medium off-white head; flavor has medium hop bitterness, lemon, and some light caramel malt! Beats the hell out of Corona et al.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly cloudy orange amber color with a 1 finger dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, honey, apple, pear, toast, toffee, bread, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Ok aromas with solid balance of malt and fruity notes; with decent strength. Taste of caramel, honey, bread, toast, toffee, floral, grass, apple, pear, light pepper, and toasted earthiness. No bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, honey, bread, toast, toffee, floral, apple, pear, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice and pleasant balance of malt and fruity flavors; with solid robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish, as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very solid session amber ale. Solid robustness and balance of malt, hop, and fruity flavors; and very smooth to drink. An enjoyable offering.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
8/10/2011: Cucapa Honey... Aroma: Tons of brown sugar; the honey is not necessarily noticeable, but the beer does smell like it’s going to taste pretty sweet. Appearance: Pale amber color and a bit hazy; lots of small carbonation bubbles sheeting to the top to create a lasting, dense, beige head. Flavor: Ugh. WEIRD flavor! Tastes like some sort of sugary cream and dried leaves; quite yeasty or something; finishes with some dry, earthy and slighty floral hoppiness and some soft bitterness. Palate: Milky/creamy texture; a bit heavy with a medium-full body; smooth. Overall: Really soft and easy to drink, but it was hard to enjoy since it doesn’t really taste that good.
12 fl. oz. bottle (4.5% Alc. by Vol.) from The Andersons General Store in Toledo, Ohio. Rating #86 for this beer.

A decent microbrew from Mexico. Very sweet from the honey in the beer. Has a nice bite and pours a golden yellow.

Draught at Fiebre de Malta, Mexico City. Clear deep golden, small head. Mild citrus and bread up front. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Bread, lychee and floral citrus in a laid back mix. Mid bitter finish. Tasty, laid back and thoroughly well made.

Bière sans caractère, plutôt médiocre. Pas de miel présente aux arômes, non plus dans le palais. Tres plate aussi.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz. bottle from DrSilverworm. Pours a clear honey orange amber color with a medium sized fleeting white head. The aroma is sweet honey, caramel and bread. The flavor is bready, caramel with a hefty dose of sweet honey. There is a hint of dry bitterness at the finish. Nothing really bad about this, it is what it is.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle to pint (thanks DrSilverworm). Looks decent; a transparent burnt-orange with white lacing. Smells of honey and mild hops with a sweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Not bad.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the Dr. -- many thanks! Pours a reddish pale color. Minimal head. Tastes and smells of green apples, splenda, LME, spent grain and honey, but it’s brief and tastes also quite medicinal.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
The aroma has light caramel malt and grassy hops and the closest to zero honey that can still be detected. The appearance is light amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma with a bitter finish. The palate is smooth. Overall not a bad beer to drink but I am not sure I would have known it was a honey beer.
